Open Footprint is a data driven app providing users with a way to quantify their carbon footprint. Providing suggestions on how to lower carbon impact as well as ways to purchase carbon offsets and fund carbon-reducing companies and projects.

The goal is to develop a carbon footprint rating system for consumer products, similar to supplement facts, that will quantify the carbon footprint of each product.

This rating system will provide 2 main benefits. It will act as a data source for Open Footprint to quantify user's actual footprint based on consumption patterns. As well as incentivize industry partners to be open about their impact and obtain the "Open FootPrint Certified" seal, similar to the idea of an "organic" product rating.
